Portfolio Construction and Optimization

Investment Selection Process Leads to Four Broad Areas, which are Categorized and balanced for enhanced growth, stability, and income.

Each portfolio has a typical sector and capitalization weighting range that is followed. I consider specific characteristics and attributes deemed desirable for accomplishing identifiable tasks within each portfolio. Portfolio components are divided into sections such as:

  • Tactical Positions / Portfolio Drivers and "Wealth Builders"
  • Strategic, Base Weighting and "Foundation"
  • Cash Equivalents and Reserves
  • Fixed Income and "Cash Flow"

I work to minimize tax consequences:

I seek to lower tax consequences by managing money for after tax rates of return. Holding equities for the long haul and minimizing turnover can help reduce IRS assessments by providing benefits from favorable long-term tax rates and a long-term perspective.
